GORAN IVANISEVIC -King of Aces

Goran Ivanisevic is one of the most entertaining player in the game of tennis.He has only won a single grand slam title in his tennis career and it was the most prestigious WIMBLEDON. Born in Split(CROATIA) on September 13,1971,this promising tennis star has reached the quarter finals of both Australian and Roland Garros 3 times and was a semi finalist of US Open in the year 1996.He has reached the finals of Wimbledon 4 times and has won the title in his last retiring year 2001 beating the Aussie Patrick Rafter.He lost to two American giants Andre Agassi once in the year 1992 and to Pete Sampras twice in the year 1994,1998.This Croatian is often referred as KING OF ACES because of his strong,powerful,penetrative first serve.He holds the record for most aces served in a year with an astonishing tally of 1477 in 1996!!!!.And Moreover he has been compared with the American Legend John McEnroe because of his on court temper Bursts.And luck was on his side as he met the American in the Grand slam Cup 1992,where McEnroe played his last match,and defeated him.
