It’s the clash of titans!!! Manchester United faces Chelsea at their fortress, Old Trafford.  United are without the injured talisman Wayne Rooney, who twisted his ankle on Tuesday against Bayern Munich. It’ll be Berbatov to start along with two Wing players Nani and Valencia. However, Blues goes to the Theatre of Dreams with a strong 7-1 thrashing form with Drogba fully fit. Their only worry is that, it’ll be hard for them to cope up with the midfield play of Manchester united.  The match decides the title race. If United wins, they go 4 point ahead of The Blues and if the latter wins, they go 2 point ahead of the former. Another important factor is that, Chelsea has a vital lead in the Goal Difference thanks to that terrorizing game against Aston Villa. Chelsea play the match after a week’s off and United, after the Tuesday’s loss to the Bavarian’s at the Allianz Arena.

EPL Wednesday Review

The Blues are back to second in EPL, where they thrashed Portsmouth by 5-0 thanks to goals from Malouda, Drogba and Lampard. Before the game, they were behind Arsenal in the 3^rd due to an unfortunate draw at Blackburn. Chelsea started the game with the return of their best goal keeper Peter Cech and the loss of their first string right back Ivanovic. Way back at the East lands, Manchester City tasted their first home defeat of the season to Everton by 2-0. Despite City dominating the game, David Moyes’s men were up to the standard and Michael Arteta and Tim Cahill turned the game for Everton. So, it will be a close shave for the 4^th spot where Tottenham sits comfortable with the possible champions league spot!!!!

It’s been a night of mixed emotions at Nyon, where the draw for the quarter finals of the Champions League 2009-10 took place. The first shock was the draw between the two French teams, Olympic Lyon vs Bordeaux. So, a guaranteed place of the French team in the last 8 is assured. Then, it was the clash of the two Giants once again. Their memorable clash, however, was in 1999 at Barcelona. Guess who the teams are???? Yes!! It’s between Old foes Bayern Munich and Manchester United, with the first leg at Munich. After this, another previous finalist pair from 2006. It’s Arsenal vs Barcelona, where the Gunners are aiming to get their revenge on the Catalan side. Finally, it’s a one sided draw for Inter Milan since they’ll be facing CSK Moscova. However, the matches to be watched with utmost attention are Bayern Munich clash and Arsenal’s clash with the last year’s finalists!!!

Health and Lifestyle Links

I am happy to say that recently I have been losing some weight. For a number of years now I have to admit that I was sporting a bit of a beer belly. I suppose this is a common feature of the bodies of men of my years. The battle of the bulge is a hard one as most will agree with me. It is not that easy to shift that weight but recently I have been making some progress. I even started doing some running and walking on a more or less regular basis.

I just walk around the block for about half an hour, speeding up every now and then and just trying slowly to build up my stamina and overall physical shape. I am also thinking about joining a Tai Chi class sometime soon. We will see. It is a bit of a struggle to maintain a healthy diet as well. Since I have been with my current partner even this aspect of my health regime has become a lot better.

I am eating more fruit and really enjoying it. I have grown to appreciate steamed vegetables as well and I often indulge in a nice fresh fruit juice, which is just lovely. Of course, when it comes to diet options there is a huge range to choose from, such as p90xrecipemeals, and these can really help.

New EPL fans!!!!

Everyone knows EPL (English Premier League), undoubtedly, the most soccer league in the world. Most of the stars players are signed in the top leagues of EPL. But the question is how far this craziness is with people. I, most recently, got struck with a snap where two cute dogs were wearing the banners of top two English clubs J I really wondered where this idea comes for the EPL fans, especially Manchester United and Chelsea fans. Usually, people get to see fans wearing their favourite teams, player’s jersey with the idea of supporting. But, with their pets!!!! This is really weird and funny!!!
