Well. Usually most of the people feels that the scorer gets the overall credit for the play. But, according to me, the credit goes to the person who genuinely assists the scorer. It’s not that much easy to assist for a goal. It deals with great concentration, eye vision and composure. It’ll be very delightful to watch when the striker scores from a great pass assisted by his team players rather than his own effort. Players like David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Ryan Giggs, Frank Lampard, Xavi and so on, gets more credit than the player who finishes the remaining work. As for me, one of the best kinds of pass I love to see is a THROUGH PASS, shattering the defence into pieces. No one could accuse anyone for such kind of lapses and surely the scorer and the assister finds a name in the records.
