At last, they made it. Real Madrid have come out victorious in their El Classico match against Barcelona with 1-0 and guess who scored the goal? Ronaldo with a towering header from a Di Maria’s cross was enough to seal a precious Copa Del Victory. It was their 18th time and more significantly, first silverware after 2007 league title. The match went to the extra time after both the team failed to score goals in the allotted 90 minutes of play. Pepe hit the crossbar before the half time and it was Madrid who were dominant in the first half. Second half belonged to Barcelona and a goal was ruled out from Pedro, due to offside. However, Real Madrid attacked in the extra time period and they got rewarded. It was Ronaldo’s second goal against Barcelona in his whole career and there may be still more to come from him, as both the team will face again in the Champions League quarterfinals.
